Why Ember exists

It started with a hot water bottle that never stayed hot.

Ember began with a familiar, unglamorous problem: the thing that helps most keeps you tethered. A bottle goes cold in twenty minutes. A heat patch lasts one day and then it's rubbish. An electric pad works beautifully — as long as you never leave the sofa.

So we built the version that comes with you. A belt that holds a set temperature instead of fading, that charges through a magnetic puck without ever coming off, and that sits flat enough to forget you're wearing it.

One product. We'd rather make it properly than make ten of them.

What's inside

Four decisions that changed how it feels to wear.

We spent the design budget on the parts you actually touch: the charge point, the heat spread, the strap, and the silence.

Charge without unwrapping

The USB-C puck snaps on magnetically. Top it up at your desk with the belt still on, then pull it away when you stand up.

Three levels of warmth

104°F, 122°F and 140°F. The heating film spreads warmth across the whole panel rather than pooling it in one hot spot.

Three massage modes

A soft, steady vibration you can run on its own or alongside the heat. Quiet enough to keep on in an open-plan office.

Sits under your clothes

3.5 mm thick with a matte, low-friction face. Fits waists from 25" to 43" and disappears under a jumper or a loose shirt.

The ritual

Three steps, then get on with your day.

No app, no pairing, no cable running down your leg. One button does everything.

how-01 · replace

Wrap it on

Fasten the belt low across your abdomen or lower back. The strap adjusts from 25" to 43", over clothes or against skin.

how-02 · replace

Choose your setting

Hold the button for two seconds to wake it. Tap through three warmth levels, hold again to add one of three massage modes.

how-03 · replace

Carry on

Commute, cook, sit through a meeting. When the battery runs low, snap the magnetic puck on and keep wearing it while it charges.

See it in use

Sixty seconds, start to finish.

Unbox it, wrap it on, find your setting — and what it looks like under a jumper.

Honestly compared

How Ember differs from what you're using now.

A feature comparison, not a claim about how anyone feels. Hot water bottles and heat patches are good things — they just tie you to a kettle or a bin.

Around 6 hours on the lowest warmth setting and roughly 3 hours on the highest, longer again if you use massage on its own. A full charge over USB-C takes about 2 hours. Because the charge puck is magnetic, you can plug in and keep wearing it.

Yes — that is what it was designed for. The belt is 3.5 mm thick with a matte face, and the strap adjusts from 25" to 43". Most people wear it over a thin layer rather than directly against skin, which also keeps the fabric fresher between washes.

Three settings: 104°F, 122°F and 140°F (40°C, 50°C, 60°C). The heating film spreads warmth across the panel rather than concentrating it in one spot, and the belt shuts off automatically after 30 minutes on the highest setting.

We don't recommend sleeping in it. Ember has an auto-shutoff, but heat devices are best used while you're awake enough to notice how your skin feels. If you have reduced skin sensitivity, a pacemaker or an implanted device, or you're pregnant, please speak to a healthcare professional first.
